1/03/25: Meet Shandell

2024 has careened by so fast I have whiplash!  As we jump into 2025, I want to grab this moment to introduce myself.

Hi. I’m Shandell. A learning and development designer, facilitator and leadership coach. I’m in love with art, food and my poodles.
I’ve had a few professional incarnations… so far.  I started out in the movie business in Los Angeles working my way up to Director of Creative Advertising for MGM Studios.
While managing creative film campaigns by day I was performing, teaching and directing improvisation at night. This gave me an interesting perspective – I had big business, budgets, and personalities to manage and a faster, more flexible mind to do it with. I used this crazy mix of skills and experience to write experiential workshops like “ThinkFast” on creative thinking and flexibility, and “Speak Your Mind” on specificity and transparency for effective communication. Boom – they sold.  Goodbye film industry. Hello learning & development!
Since then I’ve held learning and development leadership positions with Banana Republic, Design Within Reach, Restoration Hardware, St. Joseph Health/Providence Health, and Unify Consulting. Now that I lead my own firm, I'm able to draw on all of my expertise and adventures to provide organizations and individuals with the skills and tools to be as creative and high-performing as they can be - and I love what I do. My path has been filled with unique twists and turns - I’d love to help you navigate yours!
